I have duplicated the original STL files and used a backup copy. I have read the instructions for uninstalling and deleted every trace of FC from my machine, rebooted and installed the latest 'unsigned' verions and still "not responding" I am totally lost. So, came to do this a second time and totally no joy, I have tried downloading versions of FC from 19 to 20 to 21 and every single time I have clicked on the part, ticked sew shape at 0.1 I get a CPU bounce to 100% and sit there till it goes "not responding", I have left the computer for up to 30 minutes just in case. I can't remember exactly which version of FreeCAD worked - as at the time the latest version of FC wouldn't launch on Mac OS Big Sur. 7389: Fix MacOSX build of FreeCAD 0.20.x 7434: Fix makeWireString for Windows with Python 3.09 and newer Miscellaneous: 7358: XDGData: fix wrong xml element in mimetype file 7447: StartPage: fix Wiki link to Reverse Engineering workbench Installation instructions Windows To install, just execute the Windows installer. Previously - like a week ago I loaded a 15.4 mb STL file and followed Andrew CAD - for instructions, it worked like a charm and I went from STL to shape to solid !!
